Domestic Cat

I had a dream and desire to help rescue the unwanted, unloved, and lost feline species. My awareness of how many stray/feral cats that were living amongst us in Hinesville GA started when my husband deployed to Iraq and I was all alone. Because of one beautiful cat, I named Milky, who was curious about me as I was of her I now had a purpose, a passion, and desire to help reduce, protect, and feed feral and stray cats. While still in school, I got a job to help my feline friends to spay and neuter, annual shots, flea treatment, and food. I was never looking to find cats to rescue, it was them who always ended up crossing paths with me. So when my husband (now ex-husband) was in the process of being medically discharged from the Army I knew I had to find us a farm with a lot of acres where I could continue to rescue, care for, and had good intentions to find furrever homes. My happy 4 years on the farm turned for the worst and crumbled before my eyes when I lost my husband to addiction. I had to move to a place that was affordable and pet friendly. Needless to say, the house I rent is not safe for me or my cats. In one year, I have lost 3 cats killed by another animal, health conditions I have never dealt with before due to the stray cats that are on my property, and worst of all, to see their demeanors change from relaxed and comfortable to fear and on edge. For a long time I was filled with guilt how I failed them, but now unable to afford their annual shots, unable to protect them from the dangers that lurk outside, and unable to give the life I promised them. I am asking for help. Help me, not fail them, in a life they deserve, a furrever home. I need to move to WI to be with my family and need to find homes for my feline loves. I will forever be in debt to your kindness of taking on the responsibility of caring and loving my cats. Shelters are always maxed out with kittens and I don't have the heart to surrender them to shelter to only reach their demise. I have written to non-profit organizations that foster animals and they as well cannot take anymore cats in. I lost hope for my cats and even talked to my vet doctor about euthanizing my cats as a last resort. I cannot and will not abandon them to fend for themselves to die a miserable death. I promised them safety, love, health care, and food. They now rely on me. I came across Rescue Me. I read multiple adoptee stories. And, finally, I have hope again. Rescue Me could be the answer to my heartbreaking situation. Maybe someone will read my cat's story and want to give them a life I no longer can. A second chance for a furrever home. On June 28th, 2018 I was outside picking up sticks getting ready to mow the lawn and I heard a strange noise come from my bushes. The closer I got the louder the noise. Unfamiliar with the screeching sound and not knowing what I was going to find. I pull back a couple of branches and there she was...a tiny kitten. I instantly started to cry. I shouted 'Why God? Why ME?? I need to find homes for MY cats not bring anymore in.' This tiny bundle of joy was found the day after my beautiful Milky was murdered by a dog. I thought to myself...Was her littermates and mom killed by the vicious evil dog that killed my Milky? Did someone put her here? So I did what I know how to do best. Gave her a flea bath, medicated her ears for ear mites, dewormed her, fed her, and then quarantined her. I thought to myself...maybe she is carrying the plague and will kill all of my cats or she is keeping me on track to finding homes, not only for her, but for my other cats, instead, of easily losing myself into a deep depression because I just lost my Milky. She got her name because she finally came out of quarantine because I couldn't take the screeching any long, this tiny little creature was walking up to my cats and dogs like she was the boss. I would follow her and say 'I'm the Boss get out of my way.' or 'I'm the Boss go fetch me that toy.' It was quite entertaining. If there is a shelter or foster home for Bossy Please PLEASE reach out to me. I have noticed her and Tinkerbell have bonded quite nicely. Tinker is one of the many cats I have posted on this site to be rehomed. My fear is if someone does adopt Bossy they won't have her spayed and that is a BIG No No. ANY animal that came to the farm was always spayed or neutered. If there is a shelter that has room for one more adorable kitten please contact me or if there is a non-profit organization that fosters kittens and eventually finds them a furrever home PLEASE PLEASE contact me. At this time, with the help of donations, I could take her in for a combo blood test and her first set of combo shots. She is too young for rabies or be spayed. Please help Bossy be the boss at your home.
