Domestic Cat

I had a dream and desire to help rescue the unwanted, unloved, and lost feline species. My awareness of how many stray/feral cats that were living amongst us in Hinesville GA started when my husband deployed to Iraq and I was all alone. Because of one beautiful cat, I named Milky, who was curious about me as I was of her I now had a purpose, a passion, and desire to help reduce, protect, and feed feral and stray cats. While still in school, I got a job to help my feline friends to spay and neuter, annual shots, flea treatment, and food. I was never looking to find cats to rescue, it was them who always ended up crossing paths with me. So when my husband (now ex-husband) was in the process of being medically discharged from the Army I knew I had to find us a farm with a lot of acres where I could continue to rescue, care for, and had good intentions to find furrever homes. My happy 4 years on the farm turned for the worst and crumbled before my eyes when I lost my husband to addiction. I had to move to a place that was affordable and pet friendly. Needless to say, the house I rent is not safe for me or my cats. In one year, I have lost 3 cats killed by another animal, health conditions I have never dealt with before due to the stray cats that are on my property, and worst of all, to see their demeanors change from relaxed and comfortable to fear and on edge. For a long time I was filled with guilt how I failed them, but now unable to afford their annual shots, unable to protect them from the dangers that lurk outside, and unable to give the life I promised them. I am asking for help. Help me, not fail them, in a life they deserve, a furrever home. I need to move to WI to be with my family and need to find homes for my feline loves. I will forever be in debt to your kindness of taking on the responsibility of caring and loving my cats. Shelters are always maxed out with kittens and I don't have the heart to surrender them to shelter to only reach their demise. I have written to non-profit organizations that foster animals and they as well cannot take anymore cats in. I lost hope for my cats and even talked to my vet doctor about euthanizing my cats as a last resort. I cannot and will not abandon them to fend for themselves to die a miserable death. I promised them safety, love, health care, and food. They now rely on me. I came across Rescue Me. I read multiple adoptee stories. And, finally, I have hope again. Rescue Me could be the answer to my heartbreaking situation. Maybe someone will read my cat's story and want to give them a life I no longer can. A second chance for a furrever home. Clementine crossed paths with me last June 2017 while I was working outside with my boss. Her littermates (Blaze and Tinkerbell) were so tiny, scared, infested with fleas, had wormy pot bellies, and cried for food. Clem a.k.a Clemen-tiny is a special little girl. Nothing can hold her back and she will tell you all about it. She is fierce, but angelic. Unlike her sister, Tinkerbell, who is content in the fenced backyard Clementine wants out. I fear for my little Clemen-tiny. Her stubbornness and curiosity could end her precious life. It would be in her best interest to have a playmate around her age (1 yr old) or a cat with the same energy level to keep her on her toes so she is never bored. Clementine will tell me how she wants to be outside and I look at her at tell her 'No.' She then proceeds to tell me how she feels about it and walks away. I have noticed in her as well in other orange tabby's I rescued for some reason that breed is more dominant and stubborn than other tabby's. Clementine is a character and she would be great with older kids (10 - 18yrs old). The donation I request, which I could not financially provide on my own for the last year, is their rabies shot $10.00, combo shot $45.00, dewormer $5.00, and Revolution (top of line parasitic flea treatment) $21.00. I will pay for the first adopted cat and every cat adopted after that will pay for themselves with your kind donation to have them vaccinated before arriving to your home. I want my furry loves to have the best and I cannot consciously adopt a cat out to someone knowing they are not vaccinated and 100% healthy. Each cat will come with a biography and a description of their likes and dislikes. I would also like to show you how I cut their nails. Easy!!! I have never declawed a cat I have always provided scratchy post, cardboard boxes, pieces of wood logs, and trimmed nails. Never has any of my furniture been destroyed because of their nails. I will always be available for you to call if you have any questions. I will also open up a Facebook account if you would like to post pictures and/or another form of keeping in contact. I will do everything in my power to make the transition easy for you and your family as well as for my furry love. Please'|..help me, help her find a furrever home with you.
