Wilbur is a sweet, older dog that loves people, dogs, and cats! Wilbur has excellent leash manners. He's a velcro dog that wants to cuddle and be right next to you. Wilbur is in a foster home and is doing great. He is more than willing to get in his kennel (crate). Even better - he doesn't try to eat or destroy his bedding! When Wilbur arrived at his foster home, he got a bath to wash off the 'kennel stink'. He was so good in the bathtub; he didn't try to jump out and seemed to really enjoy his soapy massage. Wilbur was so happy to get some new toys; the Bionic (rubber) bone seems to be his favorite so far. Wilbur is extremely skinny, but his foster family is working to put some meat on his bones with better food and lots of TLC. Wilbur is also starting on his antibiotics in preparation for his heartworm treatment. During the heat of the day (July in Georgia), Wilbur will go outside and do his business but doesn't have much desire to play; he'd rather get back inside where it's cooler (who wouldn't, right?). Early mornings and evenings (not so hot), he likes to pounce after a ball or run around the yard with a human.
