About Kat

Adoption Fee: $175
Rat Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Kat's journey to rescue started as a stray at a small North Carolina shelter. Her owners showed up to reclaim her but a couple weeks later decided they no longer wanted her. We believe all things happen for a reason because once 2-year-old Kat arrived at her foster home, she never looked back! Kat loves the other dogs in her foster home and is always giving them kisses and trying to play. She hopes her adopters will have canine playmates too. According to Kat, the more the merrier! Kat has a wonderfully sweet demeanor and loves to curl up next to you and look at you with very loving eyes. She is quick to learn and wants to please. She walks well on a leash, and she's fully house-trained and crate trained. A long-legged girl, who could stand to gain a bit more than her current weight of 18 lbs., Kat has some physical traits that are characteristic of a Decker Rat Terrier, and she's extremely athletic. She loves to sprint around the yard and have the other dogs chase her. She will do best in an active home, where people enjoy running or hiking. Kat also likes to relax and will follow your lead. When you're up, she is up; if you sit down, she sits down. This lovely girl will make a fantastic family addition!
