About Smokey Joe

SMOKEY JOE IS BEING FOSTERED IN DURHAM NC . YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE HERE FOR PICK UP AT ADOPTION TIME. WE DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS, NO EXCEPTIONS. ADOPTION FEE: $400 SMOKEY JOE is a 3 yr old, 12 lbs male Cairn Terrier/Mini Poodle mix. UTD on vaccines, rabies, heart worm negative, on monthly prevention, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. Smokey Joe lost his owner, who had to go into assisted living. This was all he's ever known was to be loved, groomed, fed and cared for each day as the only dog. He is good with cats, kids and people all around him. But mostly he craves being in a your lap. He must have been with someone that was home a lot since he follows you room to room and never wants you out of his sight. He is just awesome, goes with the flow of the family. Smokey would do best as an only dog since he tends to be jealous of the other dogs and he wants to be a tad ugly with food being left in a bowl. We had him groomed this week and he did awesome, loved his bath, was great on the table. He will need work on his housetraining, mostly he will go out, but if a pad is down he goes on it. We're working on going outside with potty instead of a pad. He is doing well. It's recommended Smokey Joe be placed in a home that's quiet and someone home often and an only dog.
