About Nalah

Nalah could be that dream come true pup for retirees who love spending their time with a cottony-soft and very sweet companion. There's no question that Nalah would also do well with very gentle dog-crazy kids who enjoy the fun and positive energy that a sweet little dog brings to a family. We'd prefer older children to be certain that Nalah is handled gently and respectfully. Farfel's is committed to placing Nalah with a family that derives great joy from showering a beautiful 12 - 18 month old, approximately 7 lb sweetie-pie with nothing but love and softness. Once comfortable (it may take just a bit of cuddling time) Nalah, with her engaging energy will enjoy playing and socializing...and her love and confidence will blossom. Nalah is currently a blank slate just waiting to learn about the world through positive leadership, kind boundaries and fun time spent for bonding through play, walks in the sunshine and tons of lap time and love. Nalah's story is all too common in her extremely close call to being euthanized in a scary New Mexico shelter....but who could ignore her adorable manner and the huge potential she has? The awesome rescuers recognized all of this and knew that there was a home out there that would love, respect and make this little girl a permanent member of their family. Nalah would do well with a family who's invested in spending time with their pup. While initially shy, Nala is so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk, a visit with friends, a car ride on vacation or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to Nalah's temperament. Nalah is a sensitive girl who falls in love with her family. For this reason, we aren't open to a home where everyone spends their days working full-time outside of the home....we'd like Nalah to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle. Retirees who would love a best friend (and greatest lap dog ever) are perfect for Nalah. A younger family who works from home or part time would also speak to the needs of this very sweet dog. We've requested that Nalah be spayed prior to her transport to Denver. Sadly..that request is often not possible. There are simply too many dogs in rural New Mexico and never enough vets. If Nalah arrives unfixed, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for her spay and microchip. We're only able to do this if our vet in Lakewood is used. Nalah will be arriving on transport in Denver in mid-July (we'll update exact date when information is confirmed).
