About Muddy

Muddy lives with his first family currently. He is a devoted dog, lower energy, loves to cuddle, short walks, play games and knows basic obedience skills. He loves to play fetch with a ball. Muddy is highly food-motivated. The family needs to re-home him because he has become inordinately attached to the wife and has been engaging in 'resource guarding' her from the other dog in the household. He and the other dog have had several fights and in order to assure that both of these dogs live a happy and stress-free life, the family has very reluctantly agreed to re-home Muddy with a family who can appreciate his desire to please, love of cuddling, and desire to chase balls. Muddy will need to be in a home with no other pets and with adults/older teens only. Muddy is not crate trained but has never had an accident in the house. He prefers to sleep near humans. The family has had him since he was a puppy and has all of his medical records, recent bloodwork, and will make his medical records and access to his vet available to serious inquiries. Lastly, the family chose to re-home Muddy because he has the least behavioral problems and will likely make a better candidate for adoption than his 'brother,' a high energy red tick coonhound-mix rescue who already has abandonment issues of his own.
