About Reuben

Meet Reuben! He's an endearingly sweet, 11 week old Aussie puppy. Reuben is a double merle Aussie. Because both of his parents were merles in color, he was born deaf and visually impaired; but this only contributes to his chill, 'happy-go-lucky' attitude! He has NEVER met a human or dog he doesn't like and immediately attaches himself to any person who gives him love. His favorite thing to do is snuggle with his people. He will snuggle with anyone and loves affection. He quickly attaches to humans and will become a Velcro dog to anyone willing to love him. Reuben is a medium energy puppy. He gets excited around other dogs and plays well with big dogs and small dogs alike. When alone (or after a good play session), Reuben likes to sleep a lot and quietly chew on his favorite toys. Reuben is learning what he's allowed to chew and not chew and has picked up on what's 'off limits' pretty quickly. He is still in the process of being potty trained, but will consistently go on a puppy pad if one is around. He is getting pretty good at crate training and usually whines/barks for about 3 minutes before he quiets down. Reuben is 100% deaf and visually impaired, but he is VERY attentive to the dogs and people around him and can easily learn and follow commands and hand signs. Reuben is working on potty training, mostly crate trained, and working on basic commands and hand signs. He is also up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Reuben is being fostered in the WACO area and is available for adoption in Texas and Oklahoma only at this time.
