Boxer / Bluetick Coonhound
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Peanut, a 10 month old, male, 34lb boxer/hound mix in need of a hero. Shelter volunteers share: 'Health: He has some hair loss at the base of his tail, about 2 inches in diameter, and a spot about mid-way up his back that is about the size of a dime. Temperament: He is a VERY sweet boy, but acts like he thinks you're going to hurt him. Once he realizes you're not, he calms down and relaxes a bit. He was quite nervous with the other dogs for the most part, tho he DID approach a couple of the quieter ones, on his belly crawling towards them. He walked much better on the leash once outside of the shelter building. He was good with the cat in the eval room! Not a bit scared of her! And he was more than happy to roll over for belly rubs! Additional Information: He came in as an owner surrender...the person that surrendered him got him from the 'original' owner who was unable to take care of him. Shelter Hold Ends: July 24@4:00pm' If not rescued or adopted he will be killed early wednesday morning. That's all we know about PEANUE. If it's enough information for you to want to help him, please email or PM me and share how you can help him -- adopt? foster? or foster to adopt? Pledge/donate to help with nueter/medical/health certificate ($200+), transport ($125+), just a few of the total rescue costs? If at least $200 in pledges/donations and a suitable application is submitted, it will greatly increase PEANUT'S chances of being saved by a 501c rescue. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, email the following information: where you live, a bit about your lifestyle, family makeup (children? ages?), home (fenced in yard?), current pets and why you think you would make a great foster or forever family.
