About jessica

Jessie is a spry 9 year old Border collie mix who has spent the last 2 1/2 years in a shelter in Long Beach, Long Island as she was rescued from the illegal meat trade in Thailand. This little girls story was recently featured on THEDODO.COM and went viral. Her current home @ POSHPETSRESCUE request applicants be within 3 hrs. of N.Y.C. as it may take several meet and greets before the adoption is finalized. Upon first visit Jessie may exhibit some fear but once she has gained your trust will be very loyal, loving and protective of her new owner. I volunteer at the shelter and have known her since she arrived. She is about 25 lbs. housetrained, easy on leash and has an awesome black coat that barely sheds. She is not a fan of cats but gets along with small/medium mellow dogs ( her BFF is a 10 yr. old pittie mix) Also loves long car rides, chasing balls and playing with squeaky toys. This girl needs a special person willing to take the chance to help her overcome her fears. Please take that chance - you won't regret it !
