About Fiji

Fiji is a wonderful male, 43 pound Border Collie mix that's only 2 years old and had a hard first two years of life. Fiji was confiscated by Animal Control officers for neglect, but his sweet attitude would lead you to believe he's never been neglected at all. Fiji rose to the mountain top and did not let the neglect and isolation drag him down. Instead and despite his bad first two years, Fiji is a dog that is full of nothing but love. This dog loves everyone he meets and gets along well with most all other dogs. He does like to be the dominant among the group so would do best with non- dominant, friendly dogs. Some of this leader of the pack mentality is due to being tied up and not learning how to blend with all types of dog personalities. Fiji has been around cats with no issues and would make a perfect addition to any family with a cat. He seems to LOVE children and would love to find a home with kids to love and play with. Fiji is a total water dog and would love a family that is adventurous enough to take him on hikes and to the lake or ocean and even just set up a kiddy pool in the back yard.
