Looking to re-home my family dog, Dory to another good family. My parents' health unfortunately has deteriorated to where they were unable to care for her anymore, and I brought her to my home, later realizing that I am unable to give her the attention that she would get with 2 people home 24/7. Dory is a doxie/shepherd mix, 27 lbs, 6 years old (been in my family for 5 years). She was previously a rescue herself, and behavior-wise only doesn't like dogs larger than her in size. Other than that she almost never barks unless there is an 'intruder' outside or entering the home, does not bite, is house-trained, and in great health. She has flown in-cabin on domestic flights multiple times without any issues and hasn't even made a sound. I believe she would do very well in a family setting, especially with elderly. Although she is athletic and extremely fast when she wants to be, her temperament is really relaxed and she sleeps most of the time and mainly wants cuddling and attention.
