About Sophi

This is Sophi. She and her sister were born September 23rd 2013, and are now 5 years old. Sophi is the 'older sister' of the two and has always been very caring and considerate of Philo ('fee-lo'). Both Sophi and Philo have had full mouth dental extractions due to severe dental disease about a year ago. Sophi needs to go to a home where she will be fed her prescription diet, prescribed to her because her urine is too alkaline and she is at risk of developing struvite crystals/stones. She is distant at first, but her desire for love and affection bring her over to you in the evenings when you're watching tv or laying down for the night. When she warms up to you and bonds with you, she will sleep on your legs or on your side with her head on your stomach. She and her sister love to chase each other around the house, wrestle, and chase the feather toys we have. When she's off exploring the house, she'll call out to you as if you were playing a game of 'Marco Polo,' and she'll meow back to you and hold her end of a conversation after a long day of work. I'm looking for a new home for them because I am going through a divorce and am unable to provide them with the time, care and attention that they deserve. They would do best in a home where they don't have to compete with other animals or kids for your attention. They are very independent and largely keep to themselves except for when it's time to play or cuddle. They have received yearly vaccinations and wellness exams and should continue to receive those in their new home to ensure they are healthy and happy all of their lives.
