I received an email from someone trying to place a dog who's owner recently passed. They were going to keep the dog but she doesn't get along with the resident cats. The person who has her is 71 years old with health issues. She wrote this, 'I am in Rohnert Park. I have had Lucca here off and on at my house for 3.5 years, and tried as best I could to get her with the cats, but I could not do it, she just wants to chase, and I have one semi feral cat who goes ballistic when she sees Lucca...also, I am 71 with health issues of my own, not able to walk as much as before, and emotionally, right now, I am a wreck, I am bereft without my best friend, and every time I look at Lucca, like right now, as she sits with me, I start to cry....she needs a new person to love, she is grieving and lost, too.'
