****Update 6/25**** Today Samson had a consult with the Orthopedic doctor who confirmed that our baby boy does NOT have feeling in his rear legs. What we actually see are reflex movements, better known as 'spinal walking'. After our follow up with the neurologist he was very impressed with his overall improvement since our initial consultation two weeks ago. There is a chance he will gain strength and continue to improve but there is also the possibility he may not. At this point there are many unknowns as to what his long term care will actually consist of as it could change on a weekly basis as his body grows and changes. Both doctors agreed and praised his foster mom (the TRUE ANGEL here) as she has gone above and beyond for this precious boy. They agree Samson should continue the water therapy and slow introduction of the wheel chair to build his strength and comfortability walking in it. Samson demonstrates the will to keep fighting and trying and that's exactly what we will do! We will fight and we will support him every step of the way. The vet sees NO reason why Samson cannot be ADOPTED into a suitable home that will be equipped to deal with his condition. So we will begin taking applications. At this time we are looking for a potential adopter with 'special needs' experience! If you could be that person or family please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
