About Ginger

Ginger is a 8yr old Australian cattle/English setter mix. She weighs 42 lbs and is up to date with shots. Ginger is a fun loving dog to those she does not fear. She loves to run & play (but won't bring back the toy). She loves her family and is very protective of them. Ginger tolerates older children but when She gets nervous she might nip at small children that hurt or scare her. She is not good with other dogs and has never been around cats. She is house trained and obeys boundaries (except at night when she sneaks up on the couch). She is currently on an electric fence and has free run of the yard. She is not a food motivated dog but she loves praise and attention. Ginger has tons of toys and must carry one around all day. She is a fearful dog of different noises such as the stove, yelling at sports games, smoke detector, etc. She will hide in the laundry room when nervous. Ginger is a quiet dog that only barks when people enter the property. Ginger has recently become less tolerant of children and it makes me nervous since I babysit in my home and have people in/out daily. She would do better to be re-homed with a family without children and pets that can give her more exercise and can dedicate the time to properly train her to greet strangers.
