About Suzy

My heart just breaks for this beautiful girl. She was rescued in Georgia by a group of firefighters when she wandered up on their station all alone, looking like she'd lost her best friend! They took her to the local Animal control station where she was booked into the shelter, given the name Suzy and placed in a pen where she stayed & waited for her family to come get her. They never came. Imagine that little face that gazed out from behind the gate at everyone who walked down her aisle, surely she kept thinking is that my mom is that my dad?? When her time was up a and she was to be euthanized a nice group of volunteers who knew Suzy, knew her to be a wonderful dog offered their help & pledges to anyone who would save her. My group in St. Augustine saw their plea and decided to send for her. She arrived yesterday, tired from the long trip, scared at yet another shelter and cage. What she doesn't know yet is that I love huskies and will make sure everyone knows her story of what a beautiful gentle girl she is. I sat in her kennel today and at first she was reluctant to come over to me, but I spoke gently and she cuddled herself right in my lap and laid there with the biggest smile as I pet her belly. I promise Suzy someone who is looking for the perfect fury companion, to walk, to pet, to have lay at their feet and give unconditional love will be coming for you! Are you her hero?
