About Kovac

Adoption Fee: $175
Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello, my name is Kova%BD%8D (that's Ko-Votch). I might look big and intimidating, but I'm actually a big baby. It's been a hard two years for me because my breed and size makes people nervous. Really, I'm a couch potato and I love making a nest in my crate, chewing on bones, and going on relaxing strolls through the neighborhood. My favorite thing to do is splash around in the creek and lay in the sun at the park, but I also really enjoy burying bones in the blanket in my crate and taking naps. I am friendly with other dogs, but it is very important that we are introduced properly and that I am given time to adjust to my new home. This means that I cannot just be dropped into a new environment with other dogs. I've been playing very well with my step-brother, Mr. Bates (a very small Aussie/Collie mix) and several friends at the dog park, but it's because I know them and I'm comfortable with them. If you let me get to know my new brothers and sisters slowly, I'm sure I could be friends with them, too! Even though they might laugh at my surprisingly wimpy bark :) If you are looking for a companion who is the ideal hugging size, who can brighten your day when you get home from work, and who can bring a smile to your face while we play fetch or stretch out on the couch and fall asleep together, I'm your man! If you are interested in meeting me, send an inquiry on this website and my foster mom will get back to you! I'd sure love to meet you, shake your hand, and show you how easy it is to love me. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
