Yoshi was abandoned by his humans for hunting a rabbit Yes, some Akitas do have a prey drive and responsible Akita owners make sure that their dogs are not set up to fail and put in potentially harmful situations. Yoshi is a good boy and he was just doing what dogs do. He is a little shy and timid with strangers at first, and he seems to feel safer with women than men. We can tell that he will be a wonderful companion in the right environment. No little dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, free roaming birds, guinea pigs or other pocket pets please! We also think that because he can be shy, he would do better in a home with respectful older children ages teen and up who will give him his space and be calm around him. If you have a quiet home with a consistent routine and understand that Yoshi may not want to interact with visitors or guests you may have just the right place for Yoshi! Meet him at #AkitaRanch 28930 Ellis Ave, Romoland, CA. Email [email protected] for adoption information.
