About Memphis

I got Memphis when he was 6 months old from an abusive 'breeder' situation. He was very obviously abused and was terrified of everything and everyone. So I took him in and have spent the last year and a half acclimating him to a non abusive environment. He has come light years. He is a very good dog but like a lot of abused rescue dogs, he's has some quirks. Dispite my best efforts and constant socializing, he sill is very uncomfortable around small children and puppies and dominant dogs. And he gets shy when new people try to come close or pet him. He is still timid and will nip when he feels uncomfortable in a situation. Loud/fast moving children and playful puppies seem to trigger him. But he has a lot of love for his human once he chooses one. He loves to sleep on the bed and doesn't have any separation anxiety. He's gets spirts of puppy energy but for most part he's very chill for a husky. He is house broken and does very well in his crate. He does very well with cats.
