She rides well in the car, is very curious, uses her nose to explore and her favorite place is in your lap. She loves to sleep in bed with you and will burrow down near your legs after you go to sleep. She has lots of sweet love to give and only asks for love, and meals in return. She is doing very well with potty training but will need continued work/supervision. Tinkerbell Westie mix 6 years old 9-13 lbs. My oh my has poor sweet Tinkerbell been through it all & for such a lovely little soul she has been so stoic. Tinkerbell had completely run out of time in a kill shelter in CA probably because of all the medical that was also needed on her, but we got her out in the knick of time to save this sweet girls little tiny life who had so much love left in her. Tinkerbell was taken straight to our vets where there was a litany of medical that was needed over a several month period of time with thousands of dollars that needed to be spent to bring her back to health, it was quite clear she was hurting & in pain. Tinkerbell was booked into the groomer immediately also as she was matted to the skin & a stinking mess & who even knows if she had seen a groom or bath in her tiny little life ever. She needed to be groomed first regardless because little Miss needed a major operation on the right side of her chain removed as she had mammory masses & that is a very large operation, the incision was almost the length of, on the inside of her tiny little body & the healing time for that was quite a while so we wanted her to be clean & comfortable before going under. We got the masses biopsied & by the grace of God they were benign. Along with the mammory mass operation, poor Tinkerbell had a cherry eye removed, she needed to be spayed, she needed a good size dental & had 6 teeth removed & it was also discovered at her very young age that she had a cataract in one of her eyes so the neglect on this sweet angel was horrific. So Tinkerbell is now spayed, chipped, had a dental, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & looking for her forever home to cherish her. Tinkerbell has done amazing in her foster home considering everything she has been through, she has weathered countless pain from the multiple operations, has done really well at the groomer twice since we do not believe she was ever groomed. She loves her foster mum dearly, she likes to be picked up & held & given love but you have to be careful picking her up considering what she has been through & you have to let her know you are picking her up because of her one cataract. Tinkerbell would do well in a home being a families everything only, she could go to a home with other dogs present or be the family's only dog. With Tinkerbell's personality she likes to have her people around & does best with someone there all the time as she loves affection. She will also take herself for a nap when she wants to be left alone. So Tinkerbell can only go to a home with someone present at the home during the day & she did well around cats at our vets, it would be best that Tinkerbell go to a home with no small children but she also does well with dogs. As with all of our rescues & Tinkerbell friends she will need work on her potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tinkerbell & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Tinkerbell that meet all the requirements for this little sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Tinkerbell has an adoption fee of $680 & is ready for her forever home. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her.
