About Rosa

Adoption Fee: 175
Yorkie
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

This sweetheart is little Rosa. She is 10 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. She is being fostered in Dunedin, FL. UPDATED BIO 10/11/2018: Rosa here - my foster mom says I'm a little sweetheart and she doesn't know why I haven't found my furever family yet. I behave myself like a little lady, I love to play with my toys, I get along with other dogs and I no longer bark at our kitty cat. I would be much happier if I was the only dog, so I can get all the attention. Foster mom also says that I'm healthy, all except for my eye condition (dry eye). I need eye drops 2x a day for this - that's easy peasy! Because my eye condition went untreated for too long, my right eye has shrunk a little bit, but I can still see out of it. I like to follow my foster mom around the house and when she's chilling in her chair, I love to hang out with her. If you think I might be the girl for you, please fill out an application for me. You won't be sorry since I will be your loyal and loving companion for the rest of my life! UPDATED BIO 08/27/2018: Hi everybody - Rosa here. Boy-oh-boy do I have some really great news!! As you probably know, I had major surgery to remove a whole bunch of ugly tumors that were so big, they took up most of my chest. I also got fixed (spayed) at the same time Goodness, I didn't even know I was broken, so I have had a lot of healing to do. That's the great news. I'm all healed up from my surgeries and I'm ready to go to my furever home - like now!! My foster mom calls me 'Rosa - the Warrior Princess' because she says I was so brave going through everything that I must be a warrior. She tells everyone what a great dog I am and how easy I am to love. I will come when called. I play catch with my toys and I chase her all over the house when she's wearing her slippers. Everyone says I am around 10 years old, but my mom says I act like a much, much younger dog. When I have to take my medicine, she says I'm so good that she barely has to do anything. I have to get eye drops in both of my eyes twice a day, and not only am I good about it, I even tilt my head for her. You see, I have something called 'dry eye' which means that I don't produce my own tears. But this medicine I get helps stimulate my eyes to make tears again. Because I've had this for a while without getting the right eye medications, my right eye doesn't look as good as my left eye, but I can still see with both eyes. Foster Mom says I get along with everyone, even the kitty cat, even though I had never seen one before I came here. I was a little scared at first, but now I know she won't hurt me so I leave her alone. If you're looking for a lap dog, then I'm your girl. If you think you would want me to furever be your girl, then fill out an application and we'll see if we're a match. Oh, and Foster Mom says that all of my medical care costed a whole lotta money, so she's asking that you please donate to help my other foster brothers and sisters. Okay, gotta go, I see a toy I want to play with! PLEASE NOTE: Rosa has a sweet and loving personality, but her Foster Mom believes that she should not go into a home with children under the age of 14.
