About Bitsy

Adoption Fee: $250
Corgi
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Adoption pending. Photo was taken 8/16/18 after Bitsy visited the groomer. Disregard the date on the photo, automatic camera clock not working. Pre adoption ap, home check, adoption contract, two week trial period and followup visit plus a donation to rescue is the adoption process. Bitsy was turned into the San Pedro Animal Shelter on 7/4 due to family relocation. She weighs 17 lbs., is spayed, current on shots and micro chipped. She is fine with other dogs but not a playmate. She is very food oriented, She had a vet exam and blood work on 7/26 and a dental. Her blood work was fine. She had never had a dental and at age 11 had a lot of decay and loose teeth. She wound up having 21 teeth exacted but can eat small kibble (currently soaked in water and drained). She would be great as the only pet or with another corgi or smaller dog. She is housebroken. She was shaved down by owners because of summer allergies and being kept outside where they stayed with family. She came into rescue less than 24 hours after spending the night at the shelter. She is in foster care. She is a tricolor and when her hair coat grows back will have a normal corgi fur coat. Adoption process: completion of a pre adopt ap, home check, trial period, followup visit, adoption contract and donation to rescue. WE PREFER TO PLACE IN SOUTHERN CAL. WE WILL NOT PLACE BITSY OUT OF STATE SO DON'T REQUEST THAT.. Since she is a petite little senior Pembroke, she will also not be placed in a home with wrought iron fencing as she could slip through.
