About Violet

Sweet Violet is looking for her forever home!! She is a super sweet 4 month old Lab Golden Retriever puppy who is full of puppy energy and loves to play. For those who don't know Violet became very sick when we first got her, with a mysterious illness that we still have no diagnosis for. We ran every test in the book and have now been told this is something that we will never have an answer to. She needed to be hospitalized and almost died. We worked with an incredible team of doctors to save her and we succeeded! She is now officially healthy and back to normal. It is very important though that whoever adopts her understands that because we do not know what actually caused her to become so sick we have to classify her as a special needs pup. Although we think that whatever this was, was a one time thing it is impossible to tell without a diagnosis. She could have another episode at some point in her life or she could never have any issues ever again. Right now she is happy and healthy and your normal PUPPY!! She loves to romp and play and is having a blast with her foster siblings. She is great with dogs, children and even kitties and loves just about everyone she meets. She is a hard core snuggler and will follow you around and climb into your lap wherever you sit down. She loves to play with her toys and to chew bones and to go on hikes and adventures. She is curious and always has her nose to the ground as if she is hot on the trail. She is the sweetest girl and we hate to see her without a home after everything that she has been through and how hard she has fought to get better.
