About Banjo

Mastiff / American Bulldog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Behold beautiful Banjo! This awesome pup is being fostered in MASSACHUSETTS and wants her forever family to know these 10 things about her: 1. I am a Dogo Argentino mix, and I am about 5.5 months old. 2. I may be small now, but given my breed there is a possibility that I will be quite large once I am finished growing. My new family should be prepared for a dog of my (potential) size, and should be familiar with the characteristics of my breed. 3. I love to be around people all the time, and I really enjoy when the humans play tug with my toy rope. My foster mom says that I am a friendly, affectionate, playful, happy and wiggly girl. 4. I've met small and medium sized dogs, both boys and girls, and I have annoyed all of them equally with my rambunctious puppy shenanigans. I think it would be best if the lucky family that adopts me has a dog that loves to play as much as I do. 5. I think I could live in a home with any other animal, as long as we were introduced slowly and they could tolerate my need to play, play, play! 6. Let's be honest: I'm a puppy and that means that sometimes I'm a jerk. I can be demanding when I want your attention. I *might* try to get on the couch or check out what you have on those counters'|. But I'm willing to learn and be better, if you're willing to be patient and teach me how. 7. I have lots of energy, so an active family that had experience with training a dog would be ideal. However, because I haven't quite perfected my doggy manners, I think a home with kids over 10 would be the best fit for me. 8. I will need to be socialized with people and other dogs as much as possible. If my new people would take me to obedience classes, I think it would help me a lot. 9. My foster mom is patiently teaching me lots of new things, and she says that I'm very smart and a fast learner. I've gotten pretty good at letting her know when I need to go outside to potty and I'm making progress on my leash skills. I have nearly perfected my crate-training, and only cry for a few minutes after going in before I settle down. 10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. Ready to give Banjo the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a 'perfect placement' so we know that they will not be failed again.
