About Ted

Meet Ted! Ted is a sweet and adorable one year old Australian Terrier who weighs 12 lbs. This poor little guy had to live in a barn with his sibling before coming to our rescue. As you can see from his pictures, he sure is loving life now that he is running free and living with a wonderful foster family. Ted is sweet, friendly, playful and is an independent thinker. He will cuddle with his humans as long as he is being petted or sleeping. Other times, he is off running and having a good time! Ted does great with all people and loves children. We have not observed any snappy behavior at all and he seems to have a wonderful temperament. He does well with dogs of all sizes but if the dog is large, very young, and rambunctious, Ted will let him or her know not to be so rowdy by barking at them. For the most part he is a quiet little guy and only barks when excited and playing. Ted is learning his basic commands. He walks well on a leash and is a good little car rider. The only real issue he has that needs to be worked on is potty training. Due to living in a barn, this will take some time and patience. We think this will improve once he is neutered on July 11th. For now, while he is inside, he is wearing belly bands which have been working well. At the moment, Ted will require someone home most of the time to work on his potty training. He also will require a fenced yard and we would prefer for him to have another dog in the house for a buddy.
