About Max

Max is a typical Australian Cattle Dog. Right now he is not happy because surrendered to us by his owner who had to relocate from 3 acre home to small house where Max not allowed. Max was shortly adopted by a family who seemed thevright family because they raised an ACD from a puppy who lived with them until he died of cancer. Unfortunately the wife did not feel she could handle Max due to his strength and her timidity and frailness. He was not the same as the ACD she raised as a puppy. Their fence was too smalll so he could never be left outside unattended and was kept shut up in a room for 4 hours at a time while they worked. He was walked twice a day and taken to run on weekends. Not a good situation for Max which they soon realized. Thankfully they returned him to our rescue. Max needs to be on a farm with room to run, and a job to do with people who understand Cattle Dogs and know how to handle them. He will be a great dog with the right family.
