OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hello World! My name is Cupcake and I am as sweet as my name. I am about 9 weeks old (as of 8/2/18) and ready to take on this life with joy. My foster mom found me wandering the streets of her neighborhood starving and dirty. She took me in, cleaned me up and fed me. I am so grateful for that as she has lots of toys and dogs for me to play with. I am happy playing on my own and with other dogs and of course my humans! My foster mom says I am really smart as I am already learning what 'no' means and my name. She also says I am really good at working on my outdoor potty skills! I am only a puppy so that will keep getting better with time. My favorite activities are snuggling and playing with my foster sisters and humans - but not so much it smothers you. I love playing with the dog toys at my foster home and snuggling in my crate when I need a little quite time. I also like spending time playing on my own so you will get a few breaks if needed, but I mean really who would ever put me down??? My little human carries me all over the neighborhood as I am so light. When she does put me down I do not run away. I just sit at her feet or play with the other kids close to her. Please also note that I have been coming to the adoption center for a few weekends now and am very scared of the noises and activity. I like to hide in my crate, but I promise if you take me home and give me a day or so to adjust you will see how spunky I am! I get all my doggy sisters riled up on a daily basis. I really do love to play, just not at the adoption center is all. I will be at the adoption center this weekend. I hope to see you there! Cupcake is small Female Terrier mix that we estimate to be born around 5/28/2018 and currently weighs about 5 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
