About Scout

Scout is a very sweet boy who was born outside after his mom's owner died and she was put outside. Since he was born outside he hadn't been handled by people until we trapped him, but his mom and dad are both extremely friendly and social cats, so we brought him inside to see if we could figure out his preference. As of April 1, he is about 4-5 months old. Within just a few days, he went from being hissy and scared to purring anytime you walk near him! You can hear his melodic purr from across the room and he'll start making biscuits and arching his back in anticipation of affectionate. He's still a little worried if you approach him too quickly as he still remembers his life on the streets, but he is making progress so quickly we think he'll be a snuggly lap cat in no time. Scout's coat is even softer than it looks (you'll have to meet him to find out for yourself!) and his little mousy pink nose is simply adorable. He's doing well with the dogs and other cats in his foster home, but we haven't introduced him to children since we don't want to overwhelm him.
