UPDATE 8.8.18: They're up to date on all shots and medical care, are now free of mange and regrowing hair, and have gained significant weight. I've managed to keep them kennels the past month as they've recovered but have to find placement for them within the next week. Desperately searching for someone to foster or adopt 2 abandoned pups - owners moved and left them behind. They were picked up by animal control, but the shelter is over capacity and does not have funds to provide care for them at this time. They were at high risk of being euthanized, but I was able to make temporary arrangements to allow time to find a place for them (only a day or two). I did take them to the vet. They've been dipped for mange, had their shots and dewormer, and received flea/tick medication (which will also help with any remaining mites). I am determined to give them a chance but will have to pick them up from the shelter in the next day or two and can't keep them. I travel frequently for work, and they need and deserve more care than I'm able to give them. The larger is male, 20lbs, and the smaller is female, 15 lbs. Estimated age is 3-4 months. Unsure of breed. They are extremely sweet, smart, and very eager to please. They were fine around others cats and dogs at the vet's office and crave human attention. I can keep them a few days if necessary and am willing to transport them outside of the area if that's what it takes to get them the care they deserve. If local, I can assist with medical care to get them healthy and spay/neuter costs.
