Some people prefer bread loaf sized dogs that look like fluffy slippers or tiny boned canines that can fit inside a handbag--others adore a big hunk of a dog with a head we can wrap our arms around and squeeze. Bear is a 4-year old, neutered, 62 lb. German Shepherd/Rottweiler with a hug proof head and body that are built to last. Walks in the woods, zooming in the yard, or snuggles and belly rubs--you name it--Bear loves it all, but most of all he loves *you*. Bear is ship tight housetrained and when we walked him past the cats at the shelter he hardly noticed. Bear is a strong dog who pulls at first on leash but soon settles down into an easy going stride; he has lived with kids and now that he is neutered he seems welcoming towards friendly dogs. Bear is ready to bond with a person or family who values his adventurous spirit and can give him the active lifestyle that keeps him balanced. In exchange for that chance he will give you his heart.
