About Ryker

One melting look from his soft brown eyes and you're putty in his paws! Each of Ryker's sleek 65 pounds is a pound's worth of love since this elegant ebony beauty lives to love and be loved. The soul of sweetness, he loves everyone he meets, adults and children alike, and thrives on attention, affection and plentiful pets from his foster mom. Not one for cuddling on the couch, he much prefers lying on the floor close to her feet and faithfully following her whenever she goes into another room. Highly treat motivated and highly intelligent, he's quick to catch on, now knows 'sit', and is at work on more of his commands. Very much the well-behaved mister, he doesn't bark, jump up on people or counters, and will lie placidly next to the table when the family is eating. He walks extremely well on a leash, greeting other dogs calmly, and happily sniffing everything he passes along the way. Obviously new to the concept of toys, he doesn't yet play with them or chew on bones, and while not a fan of car rides, he's improving daily thanks to praise and his favorite treats. House but not crate trained, and most comfortable in the company of his person, Ryker's ideal home is patient and loving, with someone there more often than not, to continue his doggy education and ensure he's kept mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.
