About Midnight

Meet Midnight. He is at the Albuquerque Animal Shelter-Eastside. His impound number is A1718698. He is listed as a Australian cattle dog/Labrador retriever mix but is a lab/pit mix. He has been there since 5/5/18 when he was rescued from a situation in which he was tethered 24 hours a day in a yard with no shade, water or food. The owners neighbor reached out asking for help because she came home one evening and Midnight had dug a hole between the two houses and tried to climb under to her yard with the tether on. He almost hung himself. When she reached out to the neighbor he expressed he didn't want him. He said that Midnight was originally is daughters brought over from Texas. When she moved to Albuquerque she left Midnight at her fathers because she was looking for a home to move into. She eventually moved into apartments that didn't allow dogs and Midnight then became her fathers. He said he didn't have time for Midnight. Midnight will make a nice pet without being overly clingy. He would be a great dog to go on a hike, walk, or an outing to the river with. The shelter can help introduce your own dog to Midnight if you are interested in him.
