About Ien

Adoption pending 8/10. He has been the only pet for 9 years with his original owner. He is not good with large dogs or rambunctious dogs. He would be okay with a low key senior female or male dog his size or smaller. You will need to email for a pre adopt ap to complete so it can be screened for a good fit. We are looking for a home in southern to central Calif. and with people who have had corgis or herding dogs. Ian just had a dental and had 5 teeth exacted on 7/26. Prior to that he had a vet exam, blood work, fecal test and he has no parasites. His liver level was higher than the normal. The vet said after the dental and extractions, it should go down and also recommended he have one milk thistle (adult dose) once a day which he has been on since 7/13. Ien came into rescue 7/5 as an owner surrender due to sale of home and relocation.. He was not up to date on shots or micro chipped and that was taken care of by rescue on 7/6. He weighs about 24.5 lbs, is a beautiful tricolor. He is housebroken and has had some obedience training. He travels nicely in a car and is crate trained. Adoption process: completion of a pre adopt ap, home check, two week trial period, followup visit if placed in southern CA, adoption contract and adoption donation to rescue. (Ien pronounced like the beginning of Einstein).
