A mom and puppies (Harley, Bud, Chardonnay, Rose, and Sherry) needed rescue as the people were being evicted from their home. We agreed to take them if we had a foster for them. We posted it on our foster page and we are so thankful that one of our foster families said yes that they could foster them. They were very dirty and smelled to high heaven so they took a couple baths and mom and one of the puppies had to get some hair cut off but now they are doing great.. Harley appears to be a Papillon X Dachshund however we do not know what dad was- so these puppies can remain small or they might be small mediums as adults we just have no way of knowing or guessing their size as adults since we do not know what the father was. We are accepting applications for them but they will not be released to go to their new homes until after July 15th. Temperament- Very playful and sweet. Energy Level- Typical high puppy energy Dogs/Cats- They have met both cats and dogs and seem playful and happy with both. Housetrained- Learning to use puppy pads These babies are absolutely darling. Mom has a wonderful, loving temperament. Since coming into rescue they are living in a home with other dogs and a cat and doing great. They are getting lots of love and attention and just loving life. They will make wonderful additions to any family wanting a happy, healthy, playful puppy. Please be aware puppies are a lot of work - they need a lot of training and socialization to grow into well behaved adult members of the family. As puppies they will sometimes mouth/bite and scratch in play. Children should be taught how to be gentle with all animals and to understand that puppies aren't trying to be mean but might accidentally scratch or bite them. If you have a sensitive child/children and wanting to get a pet for them maybe consider an adult that has been around children- they are a lot less work as well. Otherwise there might be a lot of tears and nonsense when the child doesn't understand why the puppy scratched or nipped them. So please be fully aware and do your research if you are considering a puppy. Adoption fee $300 includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies, collar and leash, training information, and all the support you need.
