About Thor

American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Bare with me, Looking for his furever home! Please Share This sweet boy is looking for his Furever home. Thor has quite the story. We believe he was dropped off in an area where he would be found rather easily. We set up a feeding and shelter station, Weeks and weeks went by of feeding lunch and dinner. I did lunch, Ann took care of dinner. They began to grow fond of each other with trust building between the both of them. One night Ann tried to get him to jump in her truck into a cage she put her vehicle. He was curious and tried back and forth, next night tried again(storm rolling in) he jumped in and out and in again then the thunder cracked so loud startling him. He took off and was hit by a car(no serious injuries%BD%BD) we search for a few days with no sign of him. Went back to our regular scheduled program with a live trap and deer cam(it sent live pictures to Tina) Finally he came hauling ass through the shelter the sighting we were hoping for. Ann came out for dinner again that night and forgot to close the trap(we didn't want to catch and racoons) next morning I went to check the trap in case it needed to be set again. To my surprise there he was. Thor was very talkative (can you imagine that) Fast forward to vet check updated vaccines, an assessment with a trainer, and now neutered. This boy ready for his home. Added info, he is roughly 1.5 years old. He is very strong does pretty good on a leash. We do have a harness and are working with him on that. I would say no cats, could be good with other dogs. We will need proper introduction and time to adjust. Recommend no kids under 10yrs old.(just because he doesn't know his own strength) maybe with an experienced owner. He is doing great learning basic commands and is extremely treat motivated. He knows sit, shake (both paws) focus/look at me, touch, stay and leave it. We are working on manners too. He gets so excited when he 1st sees someone but settles and is learning 'off' (no jumping) He loves to chase a tennis ball, he loves the squeeky ones best. He would require a fence. We do not know if he is a runner. He is still very much a pup with lots of energy. I just love this boy, he will make someone an awesome family member. He's been through so much in his short life, he deserves a 2nd chance!
