About Lacy

Adoption Fee: $295
Boxer / Lab
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Lacy Boxer/Lab mix Currently 11 weeks Currently 15 pounds Lacy is a sweet, lovable, energetic puppy who loves to chew on her toys, chase after her ball, and run, flop, and roll in the long grass. She is still working on potty training and does well when brought out every couple of hours during the day. Lacy has been adjusting to being left home alone in the kennel for a couple of hours at a time but she would definitely prefer to be at your feet or by your side at all times if you'd let her! At night, she likes to sleep in her kennel as long as her foster mom is in view. She goes out a couple times during the night but this is improving quickly! She is very motivated by food, positive praise, and petting. She sometimes gets a little sassy and nippy when she is overtired but once she gives in to her sleepiness, she wants to snuggle up as close to you as possible. Lacy does well when meeting new people and animals. She likes to play chase with other dogs and would do best in an environment where she has a good amount of physical activity every day. If her pictures haven't done it already, one little snuggle and smooch and this girl will steal your heart! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
