Brunie lived a life of pure hell in the deep south of the US. Tied outside with the chain wrapped so tightly around her neck that it grew into her neck - she suffered - day and night. She also was allowed to become infected with heartworm disease - - - Brunie is a total sweetheart. She gets along fine with other dogs, but should be fed separately from others as she really is a 'food hound'. Brunie has been treated for heartworm disease, spayed, vaccinated, and is now on preventative, but the long term effects of the untreated disease has left her with a chronic cough and little tolerance for heavy exercise. She would make someone a terrific couch potato and loving companion, but we cannot guarantee longevity - though she could live many years with loving care. We just don't know.
