Well hiya, I'm Paxton, the sweetest and goofiest (and most handsome) foxhound you'll ever meet. My foster mom can tell I've had a hard life. In spite of my scars, I learn to trust new people quickly and I show that by snuggling on the couch and giving lots of kisses. If you give me a little time to adjust to my new surroundings, I can show you how awesome I am with crate training and walking on a leash. I have three dog roommates and a cat friend and I have to say that they are great friends; so if you have cats or dogs, you can count on me to be best pals with them, too! I'm looking for a family who wants a loyal, affectionate companion to play outside with. I can also test out your fenced-in back yard and give you honest feedback about your lawn maintenance. If you'd like to meet me and get lost in my soulful hound eyes, come to Petsmart in Waynesboro on Saturday between 10 AM and 1 PM. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all volunteer, foster based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, Va every Saturday. $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
