About AJ

This is AJ! This big boy showed up on our farm about 4 months ago. I had been seeing this dog Over the last 8 months running around our mountain and dirt road at least every couple of weeks but he just looked way too Healthy to be a stray and he was all always very sweet yet tried to jump in my truck every time. In my experience I prayed for this dog hoping that's no one would bring harm to him even though I had had multiple complaints about him from my neighbors to don't like dogs and i pleaded to for them not to hurt him even tho he wasn't mine. Sure enough he decides to come down to our farm 1 day and he never left. Because he has a beautiful place to call home with lots of other doggy buddies and can be inside and gets attention. His original home was not what I would deem appropriate for a dog living outside without a dog house where he could not refuge against the elements he was tied up anytime he wasn't escaping from his collar. As you can tell by his color tone he does have some sunburn which is that Braun Brown color to his back and sides he is otherwise black with white accents. Being the animal rescuers that we are I didn't wanna see anything badd happen to him so we took him in and we love him. he is a very sweet awesome dog. But I already have 8 dogs and I have another one that just showed up that's also posted on this Web site and with my work and school schedule I can't give them the attention a new pup needs. AJ is I would say less than 2 years old he still has that playful pitty puppy mentality. He probably weighs around 80 poundsn solid muscle! We have had him on the waiting list to get fixed but he has not had done yet. He is very playful & high energy but very sweet and at the end of the day he is completely content with coddling or laying down at your feet. I have him housebroken and crate trained to the point of him going in the crate every night without any issues! This dog can run like the wind! I've never seen a dog run as beautifully and with such intensity so if you like to run and exercise this will be a good dog for you if you need a partner to run with. Along with that the one vice this dog does have is that he can jump anything so I feel that in my experience this dog would have the best outcome living an indoor life with a good secure fenced in back yard or property with the right 1 on 1 training this dog will be an amazing pet. I know that when he does get fixed he will definitely calm down significantly as male dogs do but overall This is a really great dog. We have a newborn living in the house and there has been no issues with him and my 8yr old nephew was here for w weeks and they never left each other's sides. Best buds! I truly hope this reaches someone willing to give this big goofball a chance at a great life. If I had more time to work with him 1 on 1 and not surrounded around such a big pack of animals I would keep him but he needs a loving family that can give him the attention he needs to make him the wonderful pet that he alredy is and will become.
