He is running around the house a couple hours a day, and he is interacting with his three playmates. They are all acting very good around each other. Charlie has a vet appt Saturday so that the doctor can do a final assessment of him and make sure his other eye is doing well other than the loss of vision. He seems to be adjusting very well, he is careful walking around areas that he's not sure of. He loves going outside. Charlie is just a happy go lucky guy! Charlie is a sweet boy who had been through a lot. His previous owners packed up and left for Texas without Charlie. His current owner took him in and was hopeful in adopting him out to an interested adopter but she backed out so his current owner kept him. Charlie was hit by a car and subsequently lost his vision. He recently had surgery to remove a ruptured eye and is recovering. Who can take this lovable boy in and give him all the attention and love he deserves? What a sweetheart! Name: Charlie Brindle Age: 4 years Breed: Lab/Pitt Mix Sex: Male (neutered- confirmed) Location: Nunnelly, TN Vet Info: Charlie is confirmed neutered. He is UTD on vaccines and has had a heartworm test and it was negative. His owner says he is completely blind, apparently hit by a car which damaged both optic nerves. He recently had to have one of his eyes removed due to it rupturing. but has not seen a vet ophthalmologist. He is around 70 pounds. The owner says he is in good health otherwise. Owner Info: Charlie is a sweet, playful boy who was rescued by his owner several years ago after Charlie had been abandoned. The intention was to adopt him out to a lady who was interested in him but she changed her mind. His current owner said, 'We fell in love with him and have kept him.' However, Charlie's owner lost her husband and things have been difficult since then. His owner shares that,' Charlie and my other dogs, have been grieving and looking for my husband. Charlie's favorite thing is to run. It appears he stuck his head out and got popped by a car, damaging his optic nerves. A friend of mine is fostering him as he is still recovering and needs round the clock care. She is disabled and has a disabled son. I work full time.' His owner is having difficulty with paying for his care and vet bills and feels that Charlie needs to be in a loving home that can give him all the things he needs. She has been actively looking for a new home for him but so far nothing has come up. Charlie is an indoor dog with run of the house. He is housebroken and leash trained. He's a smart fellow and understands several commands including, sit, no, shake and lay down. Charlie is outgoing and he is good with most everyone, human and 4 legged friends. He currently lives with a lab mix and 2 wolf hybrids (one is a trained service dog). Charlie is not possessive with treats, toys or food. He has not shown or been aggressive toward people or other animals. His owner feels that he adapts well to new situations and surroundings. Charlie's owner really wants to find him a loving home where he will get lots of attention. His owner wants us to know, 'Charlie is a lovable & outgoing dog. He loved to run, run, run before the accident. He still loves getting lots of attention. He has been in the home with 3 other dogs for 2 years. He is great with my grandchildren and adults. It breaks my heart to re-home him but I am unable to give him the care he needs right now.' %BD'%BD%BDPlease contact [email protected]. Please note we will ask for a vet reference.
