Meet Rowen%9D%A4%8F, a gorgeous 1-yr old husky puppy who is now looking for his forever home %8F! Rowen%9D%A4%8Fwas recently rescued from Riverside Shelter as a deathrow husky, who was Coded Red for being kennel stressed! So glad we're able to pull him to safety before he was euthanized, which allowed us to find out what an amazing young pup Rowen truly is!!%9D%A4%8F%90%BE%90%BE Below is what Rowen's foster mom describes him: Rowen%9D%A4%8F is an energetic youngster who has discovered running on a leash and playing fetch. He is working hard on his walking-on-a-leash skills that still needs some refinement because he loves to sniff and gets distracted by it. He loves the pool to cool down after his training sessions. He is learning his boundaries with what he can chew on - and is becoming to know that certain slippers are NOT his toys! He loves being outside but also loves the indoors. He seems to be more relaxed outside and has no problem being out there when no one is home. He has not tried to escape at all. When we open the front gate, he will just follow us and has not tried to run away. He has a lot of energy but will calm down when you tell him to lay down and relax. He loves playing with his toys and chewing on things but is pretty gentle with his toys. Doesn't seem to tear them all apart. He doesn't show any food aggression or separation anxiety and has not displayed a desire to dig, although he emulates behavior when he sees it. When I dig with a shovel, he digs next to me. When I pull ivy off the wall, he will do the same. He absolutely loves to be brushed. At night he is in a soft crate which he protests a little before sighing and realizing it's time for the adults to sleep. During the day, he is let out every few hours to relieve himself so there are no accidents in the house. Since the first couple of days, he has not relieved himself in the house. He likes to hide in the bushes when he goes outside, so we don't have to clean it up from the grass! He is not an anxious or whining boy at all! Doesn't cry or whine to be let out, etc. He has learned some basic commands and still learning not to jump up on people when he gets excited. He is still mouthy but with a gentle bite. If he doesn't like you touching something he has, he won't hesitate to nip at your hand gently. He isn't a barker or contagious barker when the neighborhood dogs start sounding off. Plays well with other dogs and would be great with multiple dogs in household. He is very loving and affectionate and wants to be around us all the time. He's a very smart boy and very curious as to what is going on and what humans are doing. He's a cutie!! So playful and loving! Just a happy go lucky boy!%9D%A4%8F%8D%90%BE Due to his high energy and puppy nature, a husky savvy family with no young kids is recommended!!
