About Sam

Sam is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Sam is currently fostered in Miramar, FL (Broward County) and transport can be arranged to a new foster home. Sam is a super sweet senior of around 10 years. He loves children and does great around other dogs. Cats are unknown. Sam is cautious around humans and appears to be handshy. He is crate trained and housebroken. He walks easily on leash. He needs a home with patient pawrents willing to give him time to trust. He needs one or two short walks a day and would benefit from a pool to work his sore hip joints in. He eats 3 times a day currently as he is in the process of gaining weight. Sam has a condition called EPI for which he receives medications, supplements and prescription food that must be continued for life. He is soooo worth it! Sam is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative. His standard adoption donation is $250, but he can be adopted by a senior person 65+ for $150 through our Seniors for Seniors program.
