HIS FAMILY THREATENED TO DROP HIM AT A KILL SHELTER BECAUSE THEY CAN'T (WON'T) TAKE CARE OF HIM ANYMORE. Fortunately an excellent foster stepped up to care for WINSTON. She adores him. Says he is amazing. WINSTON just wants to be your best friend, your jogging and hiking companion and your personal snuggle machine. He's a handsome, 2.5-year-old, 65lb retriever/hound mix who's looking for a forever home. WINSTON is sweet, playful, happy pup. He still has some puppy in him so be prepared to smile at his adorable antics--like when he carries a toy around and uses it as a pillow after he's done playing with it. WINSTON knows some basic commands, has good house manners, is crate and leash trained and he's house broken. He would love a home with another friendly dog and a fenced in yard where they could romp and play or just chill and take in the sights and sounds of the season. He is really, really good with other dogs of equal size, and in fact, he was the temperament test dog at the shelter where he was a volunteer favorite. He is a little too playful for small children, cats and dogs. So if you are searching for a great family dog, you have found him! WINSTON is neutered and up to date on core vaccines.
