Foster needed for Lab now! This was my parent's dog, but my dad has terminal cancer and they had to move to a place that did not allow dogs. She is a 'designer dog' Purebred Black Lab/ Purebred Shar Pei Mix. Spayed Female Medium size dog 45 lbs I was thinking she was 12 Years old but she might be 11 Years old? She gets around very well!!! She can walk up and down stairs, get in and out of the bathtub, in and out of a car by herself! And you can see she walks good! She came to live with my family, but she doesn't get along with our German Shepherd. Well, the Shepherd did EAT her dog bed (ripped it up and tore the stuffing out) and wreaked her toys, so that is a good reason not to get along with him!! It has been difficult for us having 2 different walking times and keeping them in two separate rooms. Previously she lived in Harmony with my parent's cat, Shitzu and a Golden Mix and a pet bird. The other animals passed of old age. We have never had to re-home a pet before in our family. Also, the outside of our home as suddenly become flooded with contaminated water and we are involved in a major court case that looks like it will be going to the Supreme Court. The flooding is caused by the neglect of a subdivision developer. So we only have a small space in our front yard to walk the dogs. We have been worried that because the Lab is very attracted to water that she will try to swim in it! She has not yet, but that is a concern of ours. We will be moving out of our home because of the issue and are trying to find a new home ourselves. We live in Trinity, NC and need a foster or adoptive home ASAP! If she is going to a foster home, we have a sponsor that is paying $100 to a reputable foster home to take her in.
