Up for a new home: Carmel, a rescued pitbull-mix, was adopted by my Mom 3 months ago from the shelter, but we've discovered that she's too young to be a good match for my Mom and her very senior Cocker Spaniel. The shelter guessed that Carmel was 3-5 years old, but clearly she is much younger than that. Carmel did very well in obedience class, but really needs more exercise than can be offered by my Mom. Carmel has learned new tricks, sleeps without complain in her crate (which will come with her) and loves to bound about in the backyard. She has also proven to be a very alert guard dog, and yet is not an overly barking dog. Carmel is NOT food aggressive in any way. She loves to sit next to you and cuddle, too. She's a really good dog and full of both joy and love, she's just too young for the house she's living in now. Carmel also has a clean bill of health from her veterinarian, weighing 42 lbs. Carmel is chipped, spayed and housebroken.
