About PRIMA

Prima was hit by a car on April 28th and suffered a luxated hip and several lacerations. Luckily a veterinarian saw it happen and rushed Prima to her clinic in The Woodlands. Prima was sedated so her wounds could be cleaned and her hip could be put back in place. Unfortunately the hip did not hold and Prima needed FHO surgery, a procedure where the femur head is actually removed. A vet tech from the clinic contacted AAR, we found a foster and took her in. She had her surgery with an orthopedic surgeon at Blue Pearl two weeks ago and is doing great! Prima is a sweet girl that loves attention. She loves to swim and go for walks and searching for squirrels in the backyard is a favorite pastime. She has a big bark so can be a little intimidating. Prima has not met the dogs in her foster home but she has no reaction seeing them in the window. Prima has not been around kids, however with her big bark I would suggest older ones. She is not protective of her food, she lets her foster momma put pills in her mouth with no reaction and let's her take toys away when play time is over with no problem. Prima is an excellent listener and is really smart. She is a loyal girl and she needs a family that will be just as loyal to her. Is that family yours? Est. DOB: 5/1/2016 Weight: 62 lbs.
