About Golden Nugget

Hello My Name is Golden Nugget,,, My rescue mom gave me that name because she said I am worth a Golden Nugget in my weight, I don't know what she means but she tells me I am very special. My life has not always been good, I was dumped on the streets of Manhattan NY my hair was so matted and I didn't smell good and my teeth were rotten and hurt me so bad. Then I was picked up off the streets and I went to something they call a Kill Shelter. I was so scared there and could smell death all around me and other dogs where crying. The volunteers where praying for a miracle for me and then a man came in and said that I received a miracle. I went for a long ride in a van and then I meet my rescue mom in Vermont. She has been taking really good care of me, my hair is shinny now, my teeth don't hurt any more. I been hanging out with other dogs called rescue dogs and hospice dogs and we all get along well until they step on me and then I get mad, but rescue mom says they don't mean too they just can't see me. I love my rescue home but my rescue mom said it is time to see if there is a real home out there for me where I can retire and be a wonderful companion to someone who needs me. She said I would make an older person a wonderful friend. I hope there is such a place for me and I am waiting here in Vermont for you...
