About Ernie

Hello. My husband and I are in New Albany Ohio, close to Columbus Ohio, and are very sad to say that we are looking for a very good home for our sweet boy Ernie. He is a cattle dog mix and is neutered and got updated on all his vaccinations last week. My husband rescued him about 9 years ago and Ernie was about 1 at the time. He loves to swim, play with his toys, run at the dog park, lay in the grass and watch nature and loves to snuggle! He is very spoiled and has been a great dog for my husband and I. We had a baby 11 months ago and we were hoping that he would do well with her. He wants to protect her and make sure she is ok, but is very unsure and uncomfortable around kids 5 and under. He's great with older children. Once she became mobile, he started to show teeth and snarl. He basically walks away if she gets too close, but we are nervous as she is starting to walk. We want Ernie to be happy and be able to roam around the house and not be in a crate or gated in a room. He wants to be with the family. We hope we find someone who has been wanting a dog just like him and know he can make a someone very happy. He is getting more laid back as he gets older but still active and loves his walks���S.
