Hello, I'm Robert, but my friends (that's you!) just call me Bobby. I used to spend a lot of time outdoors hunting, but I hit retirement and I have found some new hobbies I'd love to share with you! I've discovered a newfound passion for tennis balls and fenced-in back yards. I've spent all of my life palling around with other dogs and I can honestly say I've never met one I didn't like. I'm a Mountain Cur/Hound mix and I weigh about 70 pounds. Some people might think that's kind of big, but I say that's just more of me to love! I am looking for a family who would like to play with me outside and inside, but I need some help learning how to be the inside dog you want me to be. I haven't spent much time as an inside dog, but my friends tell me it's the life. It's never cold and there's always a comfortable spot on a dog bed or couch where I can snuggle with kids, other dogs, and my owners. Could you show me how to be your couch buddy? Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
